The Candela GentleMax Pro is an FDA-cleared, industry-leading laser system trusted for safe and effective hair removal across all skin types. It combines two powerful wavelengths for optimized results:
An advanced Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) delivers a fine mist of cryogen to the skin just before each laser pulse, ensuring maximum comfort and reducing the risk of irritation.
- 755 nm Alexandrite – ideal for lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–III)
- 1064 nm ND:YAG – designed for deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI)
An advanced Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) delivers a fine mist of cryogen to the skin just before each laser pulse, ensuring maximum comfort and reducing the risk of irritation.
To prepare for your laser hair removal session, please follow these guidelines:
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including tanning beds) for 4–6 weeks before and after treatment.
- Discontinue use of topical retinoids, acids, or active skincare products 3–5 days before treatment.
- Do not bleach, wax, or pluck hair in the treatment area for at least 6 weeks prior.
- Stop using self-tanning products at least 1 week before treatment.
- If you have a history of oral or genital herpes, prophylactic antiviral medication is recommended.
After your treatment, it is important to care for your skin properly:
- Mild redness and swelling around the hair follicles is normal and may last for a few hours.
- A cooling gel, such as aloe vera, may be applied to soothe the skin.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.
- Do not pick, scratch, or irritate the treated area.
- Only shaving is allowed between treatments. Avoid waxing, tweezing, or electrolysis for at least 6 weeks.
- Hair shedding may occur within a few days to several weeks post-treatment. This is expected and is not new growth.
Following these instructions helps ensure a safe and effective treatment process, reduces risks of side effects, and promotes the best possible results.
